Take in the landscape of the region on the 35-mile drive from Puerto Madryn to your first stop at Peninsula Valdes. This amazing ecosystem brings together a variety of marine life, including orcas, elephant seals, fur seals, and Magellan penguins. After a visit to the interpretation center, you will depart once more, this time traveling 59 miles to Caleta Valdes, a 21-mile stretch of protected land. Once there, you will have a chance to encounter more area wildlife, including elephant seals, penguins, and occasionally orcas. Finally, enjoy more incredible views of the scenery on your ride back to the ship in time to depart.

Special Instructions

Comfortable lightweight seasonal clothing and sturdy non-slip walking shoes are recommended. A light sweater may be needed for the winter months in the evenings. Guests should bring a hat and sunscreen. Good quality sunglasses are advised, and photo-chromatic lenses for those who wear spectacles.

Restrictions

Participants must be able to get in and out of the vehicle. This tour is not wheelchair accessible. The roads inside the peninsula are unpaved and rugged.
